GeoStock Group

Challenge:

In 2012, GeoStock Group, a French energy auxiliary services contractor, acquired Sandia Technologies, a key factor in the continuing growth of GeoStock Group. Our GeoStock Group Press Release announced the pre-Christmas acquisition of controlling shares of Sandia Technologies in 2012, a major financial event in the life of the company, the oil and gas auxiliary services industry, and GeoStock Group’s shareholders. 

Results:

The acquisition positioned GeoStock as an authority in relation to geological and reservoir evaluation, as well as injection well permitting and engineering consulting services to support underground injection well disposal applications and storage technology. Our web-optimized release provided much needed last-minute maximum search engine visibility on news engines and online journals alike, improving the brand’s ranking on News by 68% in one month.

Case Study: Chevron Intranet SEO Program

Challenge: 

Chevron Web Services Team needed a way to provide search engine optimization for the operating companies using their intranet to better research services provided by each and collaborate. This project required research and communications between departments not accustomed to talking to one another.

Results:

Our founder, Mark Brimm, consulted Chevron(.com) onsite in 2007 on Search Engine Strategies (SES) and lead a research project to explore whether the Enterprise search team could facilitate Web Team’s desire to offer search promotion services within their own large intranet for operational companies. 

The project was a success and handed off to Web Services as a basis for future SEO services which include:

  • Intranet search engine optimization services for operating company sites
  • The potential for social media optimization services
  • A theoretical foundation plan from which to coordinate search engine strategies across the intranet
  • The means to employ current SEO summer team efforts toward servicing these internal clients in a way that fosters internal excellence through healthy marketplace competition dynamics.
 
After implementing our coordination plan for search engine strategies, the site’s traffic increased by up to 57% in 3 months.

Varel International

Challenge: 

In 2011, we handled SEO research for Varel International, Inc., a Houston industrial drill bit company serving oil and gas company headquarters in and around the Houston area for use largely overseas. 

Results:

  • Our on-page SEO optimization expertise helped lead to the success of the online presence of their drill bit products at a critical time in their branding process.
  • The website’s product pages were moved to the next level via applied best practices on-page optimization principles.
